Hobby Breeder of the Showline German Shepherd
Vom Ledgemere German Shepherds is a hobby breeding kennel located on 30 pastoral acres in Western Massachusetts. Our breeding program is focused on producing a dog with sound temperment, correct conformation, balanced movement, good health and deep black and red pigmentation. We believe in quality not quantity, for this reason we only produce one or two carefully planned litters a year. We breed West German Showline dogs, from imported breeding stock carrying only the best bloodlines. We follow the breed standard put forth by the SV in Germany and compete in the SV (German style) conformation ring as well as title our dogs in the sport of Schutzhund. All of our breeding stock have their hips and elbows certified thru either the SV in Germany or the OFA in USA. We are members in good standing with the GSDCA-WDA, AKC, GSDCA, Springfield Kennel Club and WGSD Club of EastConn.
Our kennels are state of the art, air conditioned in summer, heated in winter with large individual 4x6 indoor sleeping quarters, access to large individual outside runs (12x12 and 12x6) with composite decking for cleanliness. In addition our dogs also enjoy sharing in the comforts of our home, they are above all members of our family. Our puppies are raised in our home in designated whelping rooms equipped with video/sound monitoring, radient floor heating, tiled floors and composite wall covering to keep our whelping rooms clean and easily disinfected ensuring our puppies are raised in a healthy and nurturing environment. Our puppies are handled since birth and once older are exposed to all the sights, smells and sounds of home life in and around our farm, thus ensuring that they are well adapted and very well socialized. We will happily provide past client and veterinary references.

Early reservations are recommended as our puppies are usually all spoken for (unless otherwise noted) between 6-8 weeks of age. A nonrefundable deposit is required to hold pick order for gender of puppy desired. Deposits are not transferrable.
