Dear Heather and Larry,

We’ve had Anke for a little over a year and can’t thank you enough! When we went looking for another GSD to love after we lost our beloved girl in 2008, we had hoped to find a sweet, gentle, healthy and highly intelligent family dog. We knew we didn’t want a high drive dog but one that would love lengthy hikes in the woods or just hanging out with us. From her first day with us, Anke has been a dream! She is a joy to take on walks, has learned to play with us and other dogs and is good with friends and family. We get compliments on how beautiful and sweet she is! It just doesn’t seem possible that we got so lucky and we think she did too! And we are making sure she gets long walks, training, and playtime. In fact, she goes to doggy day care one day a week and loves it and they love her! I never thought I would be bringing my dog to day care but I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it.

We also wanted to say thank you for your patience with us while we decided on which dog to pick. From our initial emails back and forth regarding the dogs you had available, to the multiple visits with the dogs, you always took the time to explain their temperaments as well as show us the kennel and parents of the dogs. The new kennel is very nice and clean and the dogs seems to enjoy their space. Additionally, we appreciated your willingness to stay in touch and answer questions as we assimilated Anke into her new environment. Your recommendation regarding Tibby Chase as a trainer at Exercise Finished was right on – we loved Tibby’s class and are still attending agility classes at Exercise Finished.

If you ever need a reference, please feel free to have them contact us – we would be happy to talk with anyone on your behalf. Thanks again for everything!

Hi Heather,

Haven't spoken in a good while now. So long that these photos almost seem out of date. Ursa and Lotus are growing so fast. Ursa's ears came up shortly after we wrote with questions. They are even more upright and strong than in this photo. Lotus' color has been shifting alot. For a while she had the most amazing marking on her tail, a black diamond, but that has since grown out and in general she has darkened greatly. They are both beautiful... Ursa is the more manageable of the two for sure. More laid back that is. Lotus is very vocal and basically a little spit fire. We're motoring along with lots of gardening, summer is almost here... despite the light frost to start June off? Hope you are well and we'll be in touch every now and again. The girls are great, we love them both, thank you!

Hi Heather,

Hope all is well with you. Just wanted to let you know that KC is doing awesome and that everywhere we go I get compliments on what a beautiful dog she is – and when walking her people stop and roll down windows to let me know. Have a great summer. Deb

Hi Heather,
I attached 3 pictures of Chief ( red collar puppy) I purchased from you November 1, 2008. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better dog he was house trained within one day and taking come, sit, stay, down and heel commands within the first week. The vet checks all went well he has all his shots except for the second in the lyme series .He'll he'll be getting that one December 9th. When I'm ready for a second puppy I'll be giving you a call so far this one has turned out great.

Hi Heather,

A quick update because I bet your are dying to know how things are going. Falco is such an awesome dog! You may have noticed how long it took us to get going from your house... he pooped and peed as soon as we put him in the crate, so we had to do a quick clean up. He whined and yelped for the first 10 minutes of the drive, then he laid down and relaxed and went to sleep. About an hour into the trip, John hit a big bump and woke him up. At that point he became instantly carsick. He threw up once (another quick cleanup), then he seemed fine. He stayed fairly quiet and alert until we got home.

He does not seem the least bit stressed about being away from his pack. He is so interested in his surroundings, new toys, etc. He's been playing and napping and hanging with Logan all day. We've taken him outside 3 or 4 times but he just gets distracted playing with pine cones and eating snow. That said, he has caught on to the wee-wee pads already. I put a little bit of newspaper over them and he went right over there to pee as soon as he finished checking out his new room. I'm guessing it will take a while for him to figure out the outside potty routine because there's just too much new stuff out there to check out. We are taking him to the same spot each time, so hopefully it will eventually lose it's fascination as a new play area.

He is so adorable. He likes to roll onto his back and have his belly rubbed already. He's having a grand time picking up his rope toys and balls and marching around the room with them so proud.

I hope the rest of your day went well. You have done such an awesome job with these pups! John and I are so blown away by what a great temperament Falco has. (BTW, Diesel does not want much to do with the puppy yet. He's acting kind of afraid of it. I'm sure it will get better tomorrow).

I'll try to snap a few pics to send to you tomorrow.

Cheers,

Diane

Hi Heather,

He is a great and very smart puppy, he is so clean in his crate. Goes to bed at 9:30pm and gets up at 6am. He goes outside and has teh longest pee i have every seen a puppy hold all night. What a good boy

Thanks Heidi

Nitrous is doing great! We had an excellent checkup at the Vet on Monday and they loved him. He loves his doggie room and makes it all day long with no accidents ( thanks to lot's of attention from Debi!). He also is doing great in the pasture with the chickens... He loves to heard them and get them into a group, a behavior we hope he continues with. He is so proud when he does it.. He is a little shy of the goats but not afraid. Overall he is a well mannered puppy with a great attitude and knows when to play and when to rest... He is not to fond of his crate yet, he whimpers a lot when he goes in but settles down about after 10-20 minutes now which is better than the hour or two the first night!

Thank you for sending the information and pictures along.

I have attached two pictures for you to take a peek at how he is doing...

Hello Heather, Bella is doing great. We love her so very much. Thank you!! Kelly
Hi Heather,

Thought you all might like to see thes pics. Today was Falco's first venture into the pool. Falco, the wonderdog, is a much better swimmer than Diesel.. who was born with webbed feet! It took us several months to teach the lab how to swim, but this smart little GSD learned within minutes! He had so much fun!!

He started out barking and growling at the water. But once he went in, he was obsessed. He kept climbing out and JUMPING back in. After about 30 minutes I had to drag him away from the pool because he was getting tired but refused to stop jumping in :-)
